1977 Artful Head shop Medical COCAINE Poster framed Merck Labs Disco Rock Fantasy

$0.00

WOW !!! A 1977 very Artful (Minimal Joseph Kosuth style) Head shop poster of Medical bottled COCAINE & framed equally artfully. This Poster represents America’s drug consumption at an all time high. Disco, Rock’n’Roll were raging. Led Zeppelin were destroying Hotel rooms on their 1977 Tour ‘The song remains the same’, Keith & Mick were raging, and Salsa was fuerte. In Ancient Culture drugs have been around since 5000 B.C. when The Sumerians used opium. In recent popular culture it was in the original formula for Coca-Cola, Billie Holiday sang Cole Porter’s ‘I Get A Kick Out Of You’ which references it. Woody Allen had a ‘Cocaine’ bit (unforgettable) in the movie ‘Manhattan’. Eric Clapton had a major hit on the Radio ‘Cocaine’ at this time. This Poster mirrors this time (Late 1970’s) nicely.

Poster was printed in California 1977 and matted flat and framed in a nice metal Matte Pewter frame with UV blocking Acrylic glass. Sorry for low light quality of fotos which will be re-done soon. Also shown are 70’s + History of Cocaine in advertising. Please write for a bespoke shipping quote and all queries!
