contemporaries. Dumbo NYC. Presents: ARCHIVISTE XX !!!

An Exhibit at contemporaries., 192 Water Street, Brooklyn, NY (Oct. 14 - Nov. 14 2020) that took in, generally, a 50 year look back at our American Society and Internationally tracing Revolutionary innovations, shocking similarities, and voices past- per our contemporary Society (A Future/Past Shock of the new and old) 2020. For example, A simple Artful minimal treatment of a question mark in Red, White, Blue, and Stars from 1969 conjures the same reaction as it did back then when Protests were often, Black Americans fighting for more, Queer Culture asserting itself, and a controversial President (if not a hated one) who cites ‘Law and Order’ as a campaign phrase (Nixon 1968 > Trump 2020). As America was about to Vote in Nov. 2020 the question from all sides arose ‘what is our future’? It’s only the Designers, Artists, and creatives who express our dreams, & fears without words (or with) but direct action in creating/informing us of past, present, and future.

Here we present an expanded version of the Exhibit “A Radical Window”.
