For your consideration, a copy of the very RARE 1985 Poster for the important Studio Museum in Harlem exhibition entitled "Tradition and Conflict: Images of a Turbulent Decade." Featuring an image of the 1969 "body print" by African American artist David Hammons entitled "Pray for America."

This poster was produced to promote the "Tradition and Conflict" exhibition at the Studio Museum in Harlem. The show was the first major retrospective of work produced by artists associated with the Black Arts Movement in America. Now considered one of the most important exhibitions of African American art in the US, the exhibition included works by Elizabeth Catlett, Melvin Edwards, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, Joe Overstreet, Barbara Jones-Hogu, Jeff Donaldson (AfriCOBRA founder), Camille Billops, Faith Ringgold, Gordon Parks, Robert Sengstacke and dozens of others. The Hammons pictured on the cover is one of the artist's most famous works. Since this exhibition, Hammons has become one of the most important artists in the world whose works now sell in the millions of dollars.n Last Fotos are of the Original n the MoMA, NYC.
