1979 Fiorucci Fashion The Sunday Times Magazine London Rare Poster MINT!

$875.00

For your consideration a great Poster that recalls late 1970’s New Wave. beyond Sexiness of Model. An important Poster perfect for framing. This is a 1979 Foto and 1980 Printing FIORUCCI Poster from Foto credited to photographer Sascha for The Sunday Times Magazine London Magazine.

(The Magazine is not included its only shown to illustrate the Foto shoot from which this Poster comes from as it appeared in The Sunday Times Magazine London 1980.- Magazine Not for Sale only Poster).

The designer is Eric Shemelt who did many Posters for FIORUCCI UK in the late 1970’s. I again have not found out anything beyond having Posters with his name prominently shown in the margins.

The Model, this beautiful Italiana(?) Bronzatta Woman in great White Plastic Cowboy Boots. The Red Fiorucci Radio is great as is the logo they use. (My research has yielded nothing on a working photographer Sascha c.1979 in London or elsewhere). Could be the great photographer Peter Knapp is uncredited here as he did the cover Foto on this The Sunday Times Magazine London Magazine.

This is a European Hot Poster and Foto as its the Beach and the Tide is high a Rare offering in this condition!

“Supersized, saturated, sexy, and seductive. Fiorucci made better posters than any fashion company ever did. The posters sold the jeans for sure, but the posters were the product too. They were hugely desirable. Jeans inside the closet / Poster stuck to the closet door. The designs featured here range from the “less is more” (less clothing is more appealing) school of Fiorucci photography to the supercute comic book illustration style of the Fioruccino and City Boy lines. They all worked in the same direct way. Stick ‘em up. Most wanted. Come and get it”. (Words taken from book ‘Fiorucci’ 2017, Rizzoli, NYC. Page 8.)
