A Richard Nixon campaign Mod paper dress designed in 1968 to appeal to young voters who were often tagged as 'Nixonettes'. Paper dresses were a 1960's novelty started by the Scott Paper Company and perfected by Mars of Asheville in order to sell 'disposable fashion' through boutiques and department stores. Warhol had his designs as well which Mars sold an Andy Warhol dress design which he entitled 'Fragile'. On offer is this dress was produced by Mars and features 'NIXON' in red block letters accented with blue stars in an 'A' line cut. Great 'POP' Art for your collection. Nixon was a crook but one of the great Political comeback stories of any life (google it). A relic from an earthquake generation of turmoil- which we love! Revolution!

Size: 12-14

Condition: Stained and cigarette burns about as this evidently belonged to a Society girl Republican who smoked, sweated, and drank her way through 1968!
